We ran a laser maze for St John of the Cross in Lemon Grove during their Fall Festival, as well as lasers for the headliners onstage in the courtyard. Here is a look at our initial setup before the walls got built. This maze was the ultimate in fun for young and old. And it raised over $700 for their charity.
We first developed the maze for a Discovery Channel show called 'One Man Army', a reality contest series. We had to invent the sensors that emit a beep if the laser beam is broken (didn't realize not existed before we got the gig). A few months later, it occurred to us this would be a great fundraising activity.
This can also be used as an exciting corporate team building experience. One person goes through the maze blindfolded, guided by teammates as to how to proceed. A great way to practice trust and communication skills.
